Welcome to PicUnderwater.com. We are Ian and Helen Kelso and this is a re-working of our first blog from the old website. You can find out more about us from the "About" page but during our re-launch of the site here is what we are trying to do.
We have had a website on the internet for a long time now, sitting quietly and undisturbed, partly because it has been difficult to work out what we want it to be. So we started to think about what we don't want it to be:
We are not setting out to be a comprehensive fish/creature identification site; there are many great books and websites out there with more scientifically classified content than we will ever have. However we will feature properly identified photos of things that we really like and interest us.
We are not setting out to be an "art" site where our pictures are few and pretentious and expensive to own. We are not planning to sell pictures except by request.
We are not setting out to be a "review" site where favours are begged or received by publishing nice words about things and people we don't really know much about. However, where we have used a product or service and would be happy to do so again we might mention it.
We are not setting out to be an underwater photography lesson site. However we will include tips and tricks based on our own experiences.
What we do want to do is share our love of diving, our fascination for the animals and creatures which live in the sea and share our photos and video clips which we hope will entertain, inform and on occasions possibly educate.
If you think we're doing ok please sign our guest book and tell us so. If you think we're not and have a positive suggestion then please do the same.
We hope you like it!
Ian and Helen
